The Dead Girl

Directed by Karen Moncrieff.

The Dead Girl is a creative thriller, which focuses on the movements of and the people surrounding the latest victim of a serial killer.

The story is told from a variety of perspectives — via Arden (Toni Collette), who discovers a woman's body on a rural property; Leah (Rose Byrne), a forensic student who is certain that the unidentified body is that of her long missing sister; the deceased girl's mother (Stephanie Mace); Krista (Brittany Murphy), the victim herself; and finally, the serial killer.

I don't want to say too much more, in case I reveal too much of the plot! Look out for James Franco (who also features in the Spiderman series) as Rose Byrne's love interest.

To me, this film was excellent. It's creepy, creative, and all the cast put in solid performances. Go see it!
