The AUFS Committee organizes everything, including film choosing nights when everyone is invited to choose the AUFS programme for the coming term.

Committee Members
President.
Job: organise the club, chair meetings, delegate jobs.
Time: every waking hour of your day.
Rewards: a lasting respect for all that came before you.
A god amongst humans. Needs to coordinate club activities and continue the
AUFS 10 year World Domination Plan. A daily job, but lots of fun.
Current President: Adam Rehn
Vice President.
Job: supports the President.
Time: a couple of waking hours a week.
A plaything for the president … and the person who has to step in and do
curiously large amounts of work at odd moments.
But otherwise, gets a lot of credit for being the 2nd in charge.
A sometimes job.
Current Vice President: Sahil Choujar
Secretary.
Job: Bookings of films, rooms, correspondence between clubs, keeping
and posting of minutes, organisational skills.
Time: every waking hour and some sleeping hours of the day.
Takes minutes at meetings, fosters
good will amongst all Society connections.
Often involved in PR work for the club behind
the scenes, booking films and liaising with the
university powers that be. A weekly (or so) job.
Current Secretary: Tristan Goss
Treasurer.
Job: keep track of all the money coming into (but mostly out of)
the club, paying bills; ability to count is a bonus.
Time: a couple of hours per week.
Looks after the money, counts the money, grumbles when people want to spend
the money! A weekly job.
Current Treasurer: Aaron Fromm
Minister of Propaganda.
Job: person who makes up the posters and distributes them around the University
each week.
Creates the posters and puts up the posters that advertise us around the uni.
A weekly job.
Current Minister of Propaganda: Tom Hodgson
Clubs’ Delegate.
Job: goes to Clubs’ Association Meetings and votes and grovels in the
name of the AUFS.
Time: must go to scheduled Clubs’ Association meetings.
Goes to the Clubs’ Association monthly meeting and represents us
whenever we need to plead for money! A monthly job.
Current Delegate: Nicole Johnston
General Committee Members.
: the backbone of the committee, take on jobs like
front of house on film nights, signing up new members etc.
(2 more voices at least) The soul of the AUFS machine.
Must come to weekly meetings and help make
decisions about how your club is run.
Current General Members: Steve Noicos, Eric Parsonage, Justin Kentish, Michael Lopresto, Fletcher O'Leary, Jess Bean.
From the committee we draw some unofficial titled positions:
Newsletter Editors.
Job: one or two people from the committee to put together a monthly
newsletter full of reviews and fun stuff during
the academic year. A monthly job (well, maybe a tad more than that).
Current Newsletter Editor: Sahil Choujar
Media Liaison.
Job: keeps in contact with our sponsor cinemas, organises
film reviews and advertising of cinemas by the film society.
Trusted PR Person who develops relationships with local cinemas and
our sponsors. A weekly job.
Current Media Liaison: Aaron Fromm
Then there are positions that don't have to be filled by committee members at all:
Web Meister.
Job: controller of the web page and email lists.
Current Webmeister: Peter Cassidy
Projection Officer.
Job: responsible for maintaining the projection systems and organising
training of projectionists.
Current Projection Officer: Adam Rehn
Committee Meetings
Committee meetings are held every Thursday at 6pm during term time. All committee meetings will be held in the Union Cinema (5th Floor, Union House, east side) unless otherwise advised.
All AUFS members are welcome at the committee meetings.
